We take your privacy seriously and we will never sell your data, and we will never pass your contact details to suppliers without your explicit agreement.

This website (promocompare.co.uk) is operated by Corporate Media Supplies Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 02739656, with its registered office at Unit 4 Rossway Business Park, Wharf Approach, Walsall, England, WS9 8BX. PromoCompare is a trading style of Corporate Media Supplies Limited.

For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Corporate Media Supplies Limited is the “data controller” of any personal information you submit through this website.

We only collect the information we need to provide you with quotes and respond to your enquiries. The information we collect includes:

  • Information you give us through the contact / quote form: your name, business email address, phone number (optional), the products and quantities you would like quoted, and any files you choose to upload (for example existing supplier quotes, artwork files or specifications).
  • Information from our live chat tool (Tawk.to): the contents of any chat messages you send and basic technical information about your visit (such as your approximate location based on IP, browser and device type).
  • Technical information collected automatically: standard server log information including IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit. We use this for security and to understand how the site is used.

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your personal information on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

  • To take steps at your request before entering a contract — specifically, to obtain quotes from our supplier network on your behalf and to send those quotes back to you.

How we share your information

This is the section most of our users care about, so we want to be very clear:

  • We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
  • We do not pass your contact details (name, email, phone number) to suppliers without your explicit agreement. When we approach suppliers for a quote on your behalf, we share only the product information and quantities you have asked us to quote — not your identity or contact details.
  • If you decide to place an order with one of the suppliers we have introduced, we will at that point share the contact details necessary to fulfil the order — and only with your knowledge.
  • We do not use your data for advertising or marketing profiling.

We may share information with the following categories of trusted service providers, strictly to deliver the service to you:

  • Our website hosting provider (for the operation of this website).
  • Tawk.to (provider of our live chat tool).
  • Email and document-storage providers used internally by Corporate Media Supplies Limited to handle your enquiry.

  • Records relating to orders placed: kept for 7 years for accounting, tax and legal purposes (in line with HMRC requirements).
  • Live chat transcripts: kept for up to 12 months.

Your information is stored on servers and services located within the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA). Where any provider transfers data outside the UK / EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (for example, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent contractual safeguards).

  • Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
